USA Zion Canyon
Every shuttle stop in Zion Canyon provides access to the Virgin River and endless photo compositions.
Photography Tips
Zion is beautiful year round but winter is particularly special when fresh snow contrasts with the red and orange rocks of the surrounding mountains. Get there early in the morning to avoid the crowds for an hour or two.
Travel Information
From the south entrance of Zion Nation Park, drive north on SR9 to Canyon Junction. Immediately after crossing the stone arch bridge, turn north on Zion Canyon Scenic Drive and drive 1.9 miles/3 km to a pullout on the left side of the road. From the pullout, walk about 50 yards to this spot. If the park shuttle is running (which is all but a couple of months in the winter), personal vehicles aren’t allowed in the canyon. If the shuttles are running, ride the shuttle to either the Court of the Patriarchs shuttle stop or the Zion Lodge shuttle stop, then walk the “Wrangler Trail” to this spot.
