USA East Zion Pullout
The pullout where this photo was taken provides access to scenic Petroglyph Canyon and is an easy spot to descend into Pine Creek.
Photography Tips
After a snowfall, get there early before foot traffic mars the landscape.
Travel Information
Drive 2.5 miles/4 km from the east entrance to Zion National Park or 1.4 miles/2.25 km east of the small tunnel to a pullout on the south side of SR9. There’s a split rail barrier at the pullout room for 6 or 7 vehicles. Pine Creek is dry throughout most of the year. After a heavy snowfall or during spring runoff, hiking in Pine Creek can be difficult or even treacherous.
