A less than half mile loop through a tropical rainforest leads past the 442 foot plunge of Akaka Falls. The the entire loop is paved and includes numerous steps but it still feels like your exploring a jungle.

Photography Tips

Best photographed in the morning or early afternoon. Late afternoon is not good to photograph the waterfall but rainforest provides photo opportunities all day.

Travel Information

There’s a $5 US parking fee plus a $1 entrance fee to the park. Visitors can pay for entrance and parking via phone by calling CallToPark at 1-888-767-9037 (Location #125932).
