USA Hanawi Stream

This is just down the road from the Hawaii Tropical Biosphere under a bridge. Pretty stream in the jungle a few hundred yards from the Pacific Ocean.

Bring a tripod and bug spray. There’s a thick jungle canopy over most of the stream allowing for even light for most of the day.

Less than a mile south of the Bio-preserve there’s a narrow bridge with room for perhaps two vehicles to park in a pullout just past the bridge. Carefully work your way down a barely visible path through thick brush to the edge of the stream. The path is very slippery and the algae covered rocks near the stream are extremely slippery. Trekking poles are very useful here.
