USA Antelope Canyon X
The southernmost head of the Antelope Canyon complex. Equal in beauty to its cousins Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons but the tour is shorter both in length and duration. It is also slightly less expensive than the other Antelope Canyons and far less crowded. When I visited in mid December 2023, there was only me, my wife and our Navajo guide. In contrast, this was far different from the other canyons which are frequently packed shoulder to shoulder with other tourists. Our friendly guide acknowledged that was extremely rare.
Photography Tips
Tripods are not allowed which creates some challenges in some of the dark passages so be prepared to make adjustments to camera settings. As is the case in most all of the Navajo Indian slot canyons, the (required) guides are remarkably skilled with camera settings for all cameras including smartphones and are willing to help. They’re also quick to point out photogenic features of the canyon during the tour and will offer to snap photos of you and your party when requested.
