USA Hessian Lake
Fantastic location for capturing autumn colours. Arrive early morning when there is no wind and you will get beautiful reflections on the lake.
On weekends this location is very busy but most of the crowds are arriving later in the day.
You can walk around the lake...lots of wildlife to see. There is also a zoo across the road (donation to enter).

Photography Tips
Use a tripod for a longer exposure although you will need to watch for blurring of leaves in the foreground.
Timing the autumn leaves is the hardest part. This photo was taken in late October and was at least a week too late. At the time all the colour in the surrounding areas were completely gone.

There is plenty of parking available (pay on entry). If you arrive before the parking attendant (about 8am) then it is free.
