This is one of the top spots around Nappes (Florida) to photograph birds & alligators. I saw egrets, variety of herons, wood stork, ibis, and alligators. You can also shoot bald cypress trees in the swamp.

Photography Tips

Use a telephoto lens. I used an 80-400mm zoom lens. You need to adapt between shooting portraits and birds in flight.

Travel Information

Drive. You can shoot all the birds and alligators right from the parking lot. Get there at sunrise. Free parking. There is space for 15-20 cars. Best time to visit is mid Feb to late March.
