USA Lincoln memorial in Washington DC
This is the location of the famous Lincoln memorial, with the statue of president Abraham Lincoln. It is quite impressive to see and can provide some very pictures. The access is completely free.
Photography Tips
There are several nice ways to take pictures of that monument. For indoor picture, you can not use the tripod, so I would recommend to fast lenses or a camera a very good sensor. The best time to take pictures inside the monument is at sunrise (there is barely anyone there) or very late at night. For outdoor photos I would recommend a tripod and to take the picture from the other side of the reflecting pool to catch the reflection of the memorial in the water. Finally, there is a very nice view from the WWII memorial from which you can catch both memorials at the same time. (I really like that view at sunset).
Travel Information
There is a couple of parking lots around this location, but you'll have to pay for everyone of them (between $10 and $20 I think). The cherry blossom parking is free for 3 hours during week-ends. If you can I would recommend to either walk there of to take the metro.
