USA Villaincourt Fountain

This is a brutalist foundation along the Embarcadero in downtown San Francisco. In the winter time, the water is not on, so the Skateboarders take advantage of the shapes.

In the afternoon the sun will hit these shapes just right to get lit and create the right contrast for black and white.

You can take BART from both SFO or Oakland airports and get off on the Embarcadero station stop to access this spot. From the station, head toward the Ferry Building, and you cannot miss it. Lots of people and street vendors will be at this spot, so it can be quite crowded. Watch out for the skateboarders while trying to capture a shot.
