USA Providence Canyon State Park
Providence Canyon State Outdoor Recreation Area is a 1,003-acre Georgia state park located in Stewart County in southwest Georgia, United States. The park contains Providence Canyon, which is sometimes called Georgia's "Little Grand Canyon". It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia.
Photography Tips
Morning and evening light is best for shooting, bring a wide lens and plan on getting there 2-3 prior to golden hour so you can experience the park and scout out your favorite spot. The Rim offers the best views in the evening and morning.
Travel Information
Parking in the park in $5 per car but there are plenty of roads to park near the park if you want to walk. The Park gate says it closes at 6pm but the gate was open well after that in my experience. There are campsites in there park if your looking to have an overnight trip or want to catch some stars. Highly recommend going to the Omaha brewery about 15 minutes away for a beer and some food it its the weekend.
