Beautiful location with many compositions available along the stream or higher up at No Name Lake where the stream originates.

Camping is available in the area and in the summer month milky way can be seen above the volcano's rugged crater rim.

Photography Tips

It can be very windy there, bring sturdy tripod. ND filters are nice for long exposures of the stream or clouds floating above the volcano.

Travel Information

To get to this location, you will have to hike from either Broken Top Trailhead (rough 4x4 road) or Tam McArthur Rim trailhead next to Three Creek Lake (much easier drive). The location is about 5 miles one way from the latter trailhead.
