USA La Conner
The delightful little community of La Conner gives multiple photo ops including this blue hour shot of The Channel Lodge. There is a public walkway along the waterfront from which to choose your composition including this one.
Photography Tips
For this shot use a tripod and shutter release. This shot was in winter so the rooms were not fully occupied and well lit so I had to use a wider aperture. Normally I would suggest f11 for depth of field and starburst or you may need to focus stack the shot in post.
Travel Information
Drive I-5 north from Seattle to the turnoff near Conway and head west following the signs; there is plenty of street parking.
Enjoy some of the best clam chowder I've tasted at The Waterfront Café just a little south of this location. They also serve the best fish and chips; all products are fresh and local.
Other photo options include a shot of the town from across the channel, the Rainbow Bridge to the south and a sunset location further west along the sound if you are lucky.
