USA Mohave Point
Mohave point is one of many set up by the Park Service for photographers. There is easy access by Park Service bus.
Photography Tips
We got here a little early to shoot sunset with the far rim of the canyon 25 - 30 miles away, I wanted to catch the streaks of sunlight as they passed through the mist lower down in the canyon. (The canyon floor is a mile below the rim.) Canon 5DIII, Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS at 28mm. ISO 100. 0,3sec @f/16, tripod and stacked graduated ND filters --I know you are not suppose to stack.
Travel Information
This is one of many points on the western side of the rim where private autos are not allowed but the park buses drop you off and pick you up right there.
