Blacktail ponds as an obscure spot in icon rich Grand Teton National Park. It isn't my favorite; however, it sure worked when the sky lit up.

Photography Tips

When photographing Grand Teton National Park the best images are usually made in the morning as the sun rising from the east lights up the mountains. Sunset they are in shadow, but evidently some gems can be harvested even when the peaks are in shadow.

Travel Information

Grand Teton Park is a short distance north of the town of Jackson Wyoming. It is one of the premier photo destinations of the USA. Yellowstone is right next door.

I have published an e-book called Grand Teton Photography and Field Guide, you may want to put it on your tablet. I also lead photography tours there.
