USA Manhattan from the pedestrians walkway on Manhattan Bridge, New York City
Gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline. The FDR makes up for pretty good leading lines for your image.
Photography Tips
First, taking night shots on this spot requires a lot of patience: there are a lot of cars, trucks and semis on this bridge. Plus, two metro lines are crossing the bridge, which will shake the bridge and render lots of photos unsharp.
The good thing: you can time your shots with the metro, there are a couple of minutes between each train. But you have to be persevering to take pictures, as there is no way to tell if any heavy trucks are incoming. The best thing is to set up your tripod near the northern pillar of the bridge: there the vibrations are at their minimum.
The pedestrian walkway is sealed off with a fence. but at its bottom, the structure of the fence allows sticking lenses through (even quite big ones, the title picture was taken with an 82mm diameter front element).

Travel Information
You have to walk your way all up the bridge. Coming from the Brooklyn side there's a pedestrians shortcut onto the bridge near York St Metro Station. From the Manhattan end, there's no shortcut - you'll have to make your way up right from the start.
