USA Moulton Falls Regional Park
When visiting SW Washington State it is worthwhile stopping at the this park to catch a nice shot of the old wooden bridge spanning the East Fork of the Lewis River. Catch it in early morning when the crowds are gone, the wind absent and the water calm. If you are lucky and the sun comes up it will side light the trees in the background. It makes a nice spring shot but better in the autumn when the leaves turn yellow.
Photography Tips
It is a slow shutter speed shot so bring a tripod and shutter release; use a wide angle lens and don't forget the polarizing filter as the sun comes from the side and it will intensify the forest greens.
Travel Information
From I-5 take the exit 11 and state road 502 to Battle Ground; take a left on road 503N and travel 5 miles to NE Rock Creek Road; take a right and the park will be on the right after 8 miles. Walk a short distance from the car park for the bridge shot.
