USA Lakefront Trail

The lakefront of Chicago between Oak Park Beach and North Avenue Beach has a beautiful scenery of the skyline with the Hancock Tower as main subject. What makes it unique is the possibility to capture people doing "beach" activities in front of an impressive cityscape. Also interesting for street photography and even people shootings.

Photography Tips

Watch the water. On a windy day the waves are coming on the trail, so keep that in mind when you are shooting there. Don't get surprised wet feet because you are too concentrated on shooting like I did :)

Travel Information

Your best bet in Chicago in general is public transport there are bus lines going up and down Michigan Avenue which would be the easiest. Parking is possible along the lakefront but fairly expensive.
