USA View from Smith Tower, Seattle

The view from Smith Tower in Seattle is one of the best ones during sunset. Besides that, it's not even that touristic and a great place, in general, to get up to, since there is a really nice bar at the observation deck. Everything is restaurated in a way, that you get a feeling of how it was to get up there when the tower was opened. Even the elevator is nearly the same one and makes it definitely worth 20 $ to get up there, which is even 33% cheaper than getting up to Space Needle and the view/experience is better for sure.

There is just very little space in the north west corner, which you should aim for because that's the place where you can capture the Space Needle down the road. So being there early is good, but also being polite to others who want to take a photo from this view helps a lot. I used a tripod, but I made sure that I wasn't disturbing anyone because it's probably not that well-received.

The best time is definitely around an hour before sunset, so that you can still enjoy a drink before setting up for a nice sunset photo.

The best way to get to Smith Tower is by bus and there are quite a few stops from different lines around the corner. Even walking there from the pier/market area isn't that far away.
Getting up there costs 20 $ and you should look for these tourist information booklets, because I saw some of them afterwards offering a reduced price, making it even more worth getting up there to get a nice sunset photo from the Seattle skyline.
