Photography Tips
Come here not at high tide, but rather mid or low tide. Position yourself at the GPS coordinates and include the rotting pillars in your foreground. Shoot wide and crop panoramic. At night, the bridge transforms and has wonderful running LED lights along its suspension wires. Also, go across the bridge and shoot from Yerba Buena Island (see another spot).
Travel Information
You can easily walk down to the Embarcadero if you stay near Market/Mission streets. There are also other nice views nearby, roam around, you can spend a good two hours within a few hundred feet here. No good parking here, but lots of public transport to this location.
