The Quebrada de Humahuaca region is recognized as a site of the cultural and natural heritage of humanity by UNESCO for its colorful mountain landscapes. The Hornocal mountain range offers one of the most spectacular panoramas of the region, with its mountainsides consisting of sedimentary strata folded into a succession of triangular shapes with multiple colors where ocher, green, yellow, white decline in about thirty nuances1. Layered lower layers create a striking contrast with their warm colors ranging from bright red to purple. The color palette varies according to the time of day and the ambient light, reaching full intensity when the sun begins to decline.
