The Quebrada de Humahuaca region is recognized as a site of the cultural and natural heritage of humanity by UNESCO for its colorful mountain landscapes. The Hornocal mountain range offers one of the most spectacular panoramas of the region, with its mountainsides consisting of sedimentary strata folded into a succession of triangular shapes with multiple colors where ocher, green, yellow, white decline in about thirty nuances1. Layered lower layers create a striking contrast with their warm colors ranging from bright red to purple. The color palette varies according to the time of day and the ambient light, reaching full intensity when the sun begins to decline.

Not a drone, you have an official viewpoint that is at 4400 meters. It is a protected site because originally is a land of the colla community. In addition there is a rich autochthonous fauna that is also protected. My gear is Olympus OM-D E 1 Mark II and the lens was Olympus zoom 12-100 pro.

Great landscape! Are these pisx taken from a drone? Or there are vantage points to photograph from up top?
