In landscape photography, I am particularly impressed by the extremes: deserts (Namib) and semi-deserts (Australia's centre) as well as the Arctic (northern Scandinavia, northern North America, Greenland) and volcanism (Iceland, New Zealand).
The port of Hamburg is another field of my photographic work. I also "collect" lighthouses (more than 500 captured already).
When not travelling I live in Hamburg. My pictures are presented and sold at art fairs. Some are owned by the Port Museum Hamburg.
Together with my wife Krim Grüttner, I run the photo travelblog Aroundgetters.de / Herumkommer.de, where we usually publish our travel images daily.
