Painter's Palette is a very prominent rock face opposite Maimara in the Quebrada de Humahuaca.
The Quebrada de Humahuaca is not so much a gorge (quebrada) but the valley of the Rio Grande. Together with heat, cold and wind, it has created one of the most spectacular landscapes on earth. Diverse structures and a variety of colours characterise the rocky slopes that border the river valley.
