Argentina Quilmes Ruins
The ruins of Quilmes re one of the largest archaeological sites in Argentina. An indigenous tribe has settled in this area since about the year 800 and built this city of about 30 hectare. It is protected on one side by a high mountain, up the flank of which it rises.
The foundation walls have been partially reconstructed.
The many candelabra cacti / cardones that stand everywhere in the ruins and around them are attractive and bring some colour into the grey of the stones.
