Argentina Punta Flecha Whale Watching

A sea mark with a simple beacon between Playa El Doradillo and Playa Las Canteras near Puerto Madryn marks Punta Flecha. From a viewing platform at the observation post below the beacon is the perfect view of the whales in Golfo Nuevo. Here they come to within body length of the shore below the platform.
In spring, they have their "nursery" in the large bay. You might think that the huge animals are looking for contact with humans because they keep coming close to the shore and the beaches.
I was particularly lucky because a mother whale appeared with a white calf, which is a rarity.
