Argentina Ruins of San Ignacio, Misiones, Argentina
San Ignacio Míní is the name of one of the 30 or so missionary stations established by the Jesuit order during the Spanish colonial period. The aim was to convert the Guaraní people to the Christian faith. It was built from red stone and the remains are simply breathtakingly beautiful. They were decorated with many details and there is a lot to discover
Photography Tips
It is difficult to take photos with a tripod during the laser show in the evening. You are guided through the facility and there are demonstrations at various locations. A long exposure time is also not possible due to the moving images. I therefore recommend shooting handheld with an open aperture and a higher ISO
Travel Information
There is also a laser show in the evening, which is well worth seeing. The history of the mission is presented here once again.
