Australia Sand dune at William Creek

There are many dune fields in South Australia, This one, although not impressive in height, is easily accessed by walking from the William Creek Hotel.

The golden hour will yield the best colours. If shooting at this time of day a tripod is recommended. 1/15 s, f/8, ISO 100, 69 mm.

The spot is located on the Oodnadatta Track, a stony road that links the towns of Maree and Oodnadatta. It is nine hours north of Adelaide, the capital city of the state of South Australia. You could fly in but for the freedom of movement, you should drive. A four-wheel drive is recommended. Stones can puncture low profile tyres and service in this remote area is pretty much non-existent.
