The Gaisstein is a small peak in the Kiztsteinshorn area in Zell am See-Kaprun. Its a short hike from the Panoramabahn station and you can see the peak right on your arrival. If you are lucky you might see some vultures.

Photography Tips

I used my tele-photo lens (70-200) to get the photo of the Gaisstein peak. You can even see the cross and on a clear day you can capture some stunning layers in the distance as well!

Travel Information

You have to take at least two gondolas to get up here which is already worth the journey due to the stunning views you can get. To get on the exact altitude level to achieve the photo you will hav to follow the trail towards the Krefelder hut starting at the Alpine Center.
