Belgium Red 'Rock Strangers' Sculpture at harbour's mouth in Ostend
Ostend is very much a seaside resort, it was raining and miserable, not a nice day. Then all of a sudden there appeared this orange metalic sculpture of rocks. Given the darkness of the sky and the loud colour it was impossible no to stop and take a series of photos.
Photography Tips
Getting low, waiting for the people to move on were critical to making this photograph more graphic and to emphasize the height of the large rock sculpture.
I would imagine there are a lot of people on a summer weekend. Early morning capturing the sunrise reflecting off the metal and long shadows would seem like a great opportunity but you will have to patiently wait for the joggers and cyclists to clear your field of view.
