Canada 9 o'clock gun, Vancouver
The gun is located at the very south-west end of of Stanley Park. It shoots every evening at 9 pm.
Photography Tips
Watch videos of the canon first. This way you can find out when the gun fires exactly. Good signal is the red light which blinks some seconds before initiation. I set up a long exposure before the shot to capture it but I've also seen successful photographers who released the shutter exactly when the fire came out of the canon.
I recommend a safe distance of 5 meters to the canon!

Travel Information
I went there by bus. Exit at the last stop on West Georgia Street. You can also ask the bus driver where to exit for Stanley Park. He will give you a hint at the right stop. Because of the curvy way through the park along the seawall you have to walk roughly one hour to get to the canon. Best time is in spring and autumn when blue hour is at about 9 pm.
