Canada Five Finger Rapids
Originally there were four rock columns in the Yukon river and divided it into five fingers.
During the Klondike gold rush at the end of the 19th century, when the Yukon was the most important traffic artery, many dramas happened here. Meanwhile, one of the pillars was blown up, thus disarming the danger for boats and ships.
Still, the Five Finger Rapids are a very popular challenge for canoes.
