Canada Grassy Narrows Marsh
About 170 km north of Winnipeg, Hecla Island is located in Lake Winnipeg. Icelandic immigrants have named it after their dangerous volcano Hekla. The road, which now connects the island with the mainland, leads through a remarkable marshland, the Grassy Narrows Marsh. On a 300 m long boardwalk you get deep into the reeds.
