Deep blue mountain lake with mountains and volcanoes that reach close to 6000m. Laguna Miscanti itself is at over 4100m altitude.

The park surrounding the lagoons is one of seven areas in the Atacama Desert that together form the Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos.

Travel Information

From San Pedro de Atacama follow Toconao/Socaire/Laguna Miscanti on the R23. The spot is about 2 hours from SPdA. You need to book admission to the national park the day before (online: socairechile.cl)

You can't get into the park without a ticket bought online in advance. Accordingly, this online booking is complicated. At the northern entrance to Socaire, you can do it at a container office with assistance. From there it is another 26 km to the park entrance.
