Chile Schooner Ancud Crew Monument
The schooner Ancud was the ship that contributed to the seizure of the Strait of Magellan for Chile in 1843. This monument was erected for the crew of the ship.
On a Saturday afternoon, I witnessed a rousing drum concert of young people under the monument. For this, several groups, possibly also individual drummers, met there and then all played under the direction of a conductor. I had the impression that this is a more or less regular concert.
