Croatia Beach on Pag Island

If I would have to choose a favourite location in Croatia, Pag would probably be it. This island looks like it came from another planet. The large stones in this photograph broke off the cliff a long time ago and ended up in the sea. The hill behind me (and the whole coast) is made of limestone and it is very sharp and porous, leaving dark water stains behind. The whole area is filled with photo opportunities.

Photography Tips

Aim for the sunset or night shot. During dawn, the sun rises behind your back and by the time the sun rays appear in the scene, the contrast becomes too harsh. It's not impossible, but you should plan carefully. Use TPE and PhotoPills for best results.

Travel Information

Parking is available on the nearby beach. After that, follow the trail for... 15-20' until you reach the beach.
