Croatia Isle of Pag (Milky Way)

This is at the beach (west side of Pag). As Pag is a small Island there is only little light pollution which is ideal to shot the milky way.

What you need:
1.) Sturdy Tripod
2.) Use a lense that is great for shooting at night < F2.8
3.) Go to Manual mode!
4.) Swith of your image stabilization and auto focus!
5.) Depending of your lense e.g. 18mm don`t go over 25 sec. of exposure time as you will get star flares.
6.) Rise your ISO to e.g. 1.600 (depending of your lense)
7.) If not done at daylight, focus to something very far away to make sure your images will get sharp!
8.) Bring a flash- or head light
9.) Use a remote control to prevent camera shakes! (If you use a remote you need to go to BULB mode)
10.) It MUST be a pitch black night!

Hint: Better to have a bad photo from the milky way than no photo at all. (This were my 1st photos to shot the milky way and it was extremely windy. But at the end it worked pretty well)

Shot was taken at vacation in Pag.
The beach is (of course) empty at night and it`s safe to go there.
