Croatia Stair path at Plitvice Lakes

This is a beautiful wooden staircase at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. It's located in the southern part of the park and pretty easy to find, because it's an official path through the park.

The best advice for this park is definitely to find the right timing, because Plitvice is a well known place and especially during the summer it might be so full, that you won't even get the chance to enter the park. If you are there during a time full of tourists, you still can enjoy this place nearly empty by just staying to the end in the evening. Around 1 hour before the park closes, all the tourists already left and we were nearly alone.

Parking very much depends on where you will enter the park. The biggest parking place is in the northern part at Entrance 1. If you plan to visit the whole park anyway it doesn't matter where you start, just keep in mind that the ferry has it's last trip about 1 hour before the park closes, so if you miss the last one you will have to walk all the way back, which is also fine, but takes some time of course.
