Croatia Šibenik, Croatia
Šibenik is a beautiful city about half an hour north to Split. The better part of it lies on the hills on the shore of a small bay and it can be best photographed from the beach "Plaža Banj" in the north-west just across the bay. There is a footpath winding around the bay with berths for small boats.
Photography Tips
Especially at sunset this is a great spot. Make sure to bring a wide-angle lens to get the whole scene in your frame. The bay is quite small, so you might want to have enough distance through your lens to capture a good part of the sea and the hills, where the city spreads. However, I've seen some nice tele lens shots from this spot as well (and I'm a bit angry about myself to have missed out this opportunity to take close-ups of the city from the sea-side with a tele lens).
Travel Information
You can park your car on a small parking lot (free parking). Look for "Plaža Banj" in Google Maps, the parking lot isn't displayed in Google Maps, but it's there.
