Cyprus Saint Antonios Church (Άγιος Αντώνιος)
This is a small church on the top of a hill. Due to its location, it‘s optimal for various types of photography. Some examples are:
- Landscape photography (viewing west towards the Troodos Mountain Range)
- Milky Way photography, as there is a nice clear view south
- Star trails (inluding Polaris) due to the open view north
- Cityscape of Larnaca, which is not very far away, viewing east
The place is peaceful and quiet.

Photography Tips
You can easily utilize any type of lens there. Whether UWA for astrophotography, medium range for capturing the church with the Troodos Mountains in the background or telephoto to focus on the mountain peaks or close-ups of Larnaca from a birds-eye-view perspective.
Be aware that planes fly above the location, since the airport is a 20-minute drive away, so if you are a plane spotter, you might like the place.

Travel Information
It gets a bit tricky here. There is a road going up to one point, but for the last 3-4 minutes, it‘s a quite steep and rough mud and rock road drive, where you will probably have issues if not driving a vehicle with high ground clearance (such as an SUV or pick-up truck). Alternatively, you can drive until the road ends and walk for 10-15 minutes. Use GPS assistance, since there are quite a few more mud roads around. Please be careful during your descent, especially at night.
As with any landscape in Cyprus, pay careful attention for the presence of snakes.
