Denmark Glavendrup Stone
A particularly beautiful avenue of lime trees leads to Glavendrup Grove near Søndersø. There are two burial mounds from the Bronze Age (over 3000 years ago). They are rather inconspicuous. Quite extraordinary is the largest ship setting / Stone Ship in Denmark, 60 m long, from the Viking Age. At the bow or stern of this "ship" from the beginning of the 10th century is a man-sized rune stone with an extraordinarily long runic inscription.
