Estonia Kuressaare Castle

Kuressaare is the only city on Saaremaa Island and its main town. The small town is pretty, with some lovely wooden houses in the old town. The impressive castle complex from the 14th century is outstanding. It is considered to be one of the most important architectural monuments in the entire Baltic region. A park-like green belt extends around the walls, moat and ramparts of the castle.
At the old castle gate is the beautifully decorated wooden structure of the former spa house.
