France Seudre

The mouth of the Seudre in opposite the Île d’Oléron is a large bay and the largest oyster farming area in France. Some narrow headlands and small islands reach deep into the large water surface. From them, the oyster beds are operated.
At low tide a colourful picture shows: Multicoloured huts, piers on tall stilts, boats on the dry.
