France Bonnieux at Sunset

One of the beautiful hillside villages of Provence, France Bonnieux is certainly worth visiting for the great views, multiple lavender fields and the sunsets as you face west during the summer months. Also great food in the village with some dramatic views.

Photography Tips

Bring a tripod with remote shutter release and take several exposures for either HDR or exposure blending, as I did here, for the wide contrasts of the hillside into the sun.

Travel Information

Plenty of parking along the roadside; enjoy a nice meal within an easy walk to the many cafes of Bonnieux as you wait for the sun to go down.
