Germany Dorint Hotel, Augsburg
This building was created in the early 1970s to give Augsburg a modern symbol at the time of the Munich 1972 Olympic Games. It is very similar - but not identical - to Chicago's famous Marina City Towers.
It has a really nice retro-futuristic look to it.

Photography Tips
The tower is mostly surrounded by the Wittelsbacher park, and there are quite a few angles when you walk around.
Situated north-east from the tower (towards the Rosenaustraße) there is a small pond; this is your only option to get a reflection of the building (best to do with tripod/ND-filters to get a long exposure). To get the building and the reflection in one shot, you need an ultra wilde angle lens.
