The Moselle makes a complete turn in Bremm, a small village near Cochem. This place offers pretty nice opportunities for hiking. Until you are going up to the top of the hill you always have this beautiful view down to the valley.

Photography Tips

If you want to capture the whole bend, you might want to shoot multiple vertical photos to stitch them afterwards as a panorama. But that fully depends on what you want to have inside your frame and which focal length you want to use. In general, it's always a good idea though to have more options afterwards even when you decide to crop the image again.

Travel Information

You should leave your car in Bremm and walk the rest of the way. To get a nice view over the valley you don't have to go all the way up to the top of the hill. The image was probably shot at the barely half of the hill.

How long do you have to hike up? I want to go there for sunrise...

You can drive up pretty far. I would guess 15-20 max. But as I already learned there is also the possibility to leave your car at the top of the mountain and walk down as far as you need to. It depends on the perspective you want to have.
