Germany Königssee - Malerwinkel
The Königssee is a natural lake in the south-east of Germany, near the Austrian border, the district called Berchtesgadener Land (Bavaria).
The Malerwinkel is a viewpoint on the north side of the lake. You look directly from there towards the chapel of St. Bartholomä.

Be there at unconfortable times, this spot is very crowded during the day. If you want to create an image with a interesting foreground, try to hike down to the shore. Its a beautiful spot for sunrise and sunset (it depends on the season and every season is worth a visit).

A parking place is nearby and marked on the map. You have to hike the rest way to reach the spot. Follow the hiking trail sign "Malerwinkel" (about 15-20 min.).
