It is not far away from the Train and Underground Station Hauptwache. If you wont to take pictures there with a bigger camera you need to get a permission. This permission you can get in 2 Minutes at the Center Management. Just ask the security, they'll show you the way.

Is it allowed to take photos with a big tripod? Any problems with photo-permission?

I'm not sure about it, as it is a Mall, normally you need permission.
