The beautiful city of Frankfurt am Main is often called the german New York because of it's skyscrapers. Especially those tall buildings in the background along these countless bridges over the Main river are a well know photo theme for a good reason. This city with over 700.000 inhabitants (which is therefore the fifth largest city in Germany) offers so many great opportunities for photographers, that it is already a must-see when you are nearby.
The best time to take photos in Frankfurt is usually from Monday to Thursday in the evening during the winter months, because that's the time when most of the offices in the skyscrapers of the city are still lightened during sunset. If you shoot in the summer, there are often no more people working at 10 pm when the sun goes down.

There are a lot of parking garages in the center of the city if you are coming by car. The train station is also very central, so everything should be within walking distance.
