Germany Koblenzer Tor
The representative Koblenz Gate is inserted into the baroque east wing of the historic prince elector palace. It is a baroque, three-storey gate, which is clearly distinguished from the rather unadorned and non-plastic building of the main building. The construction spans today's federal road 9 to Koblenz. The Koblenz Gate was also referred to as "Michaelstor" because the large hall in the middle building level was originally used as the seat or assembly place of the order of the Knights of St. Michael, whose ornate statue is decorating the ceiling of the gate.
