Maniitsoq means “uneven place“. The greenlanders are quite pragmatic with the names of their places.

Travel Information

The photo was shot from aboard the ship Sarfaq Ittuk.
In the summer the ferry and mail-boat travels twice every week about 1200 km through the Davis Strait along the greenlandic west coast between Qaqortoq in the south and Ilulissat, its northern end point.
