Hong Kong Hong Kong Skyline from Kowloon Public Pier
Kowloon Public Pier is the best spot to photograph the skyline of Hong Kong Island. From there you have a very wide view to the opposite skyline, from Sheung Wan to Causeway Bay.
Photography Tips
Most impressive is the view at night. Of course a Tripod is necessary. Around 8 pm ("Symphony of Lights"-Show) it's completely overcrowded there and this is no understatement. If you like to avoid the crowds and if you want to do your job calmly, you have to come either earlier or later.
Because of the location of Hong Kong and Kowloon, you have to expect foggy conditions from time to time. That makes photography sometimes difficult.
